6.4 Cable connection to the Control unit

Lay cables from the external unit on the inside of the vehicle to the control unit. The cables

should not rub on sharp edges and should not be laid close to sources of heat.

Prior to inserting contacts in the connector housing, ensure that the contacts are in a

faultless condition and are not bent. In particular, contact blades must not have

excessive spacing. Insert contacts in the connector housing according to the following

sketch. Individual cable cores are marked in colours and connector-housing recesses are

numbered to eliminate confusion.

Ensure that each contact is fully inserted so that the contact blade is engaged, which can be

heard as a click. After all contacts have been inserted, push the connector housing together

in a vertical direction to the contacts.

Please work very carefully, because once the contacts have been inserted, they cannot

be removed without damage.
